REEEP’s CEO, Eva Kelly Oberender, will be speaking at the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) session on ‘’Paris-Aligned Public Finance’’ on June 14th from 2:00- 3:30 p.m. Manila time.
The session will cover climate finance-related topics, with Eva presenting The Austria-Nepal Renewable Energy Blended Finance Facility in her talk on Blended Finance for Upscaling Clean Energy in Nepal, followed by a panel discussion alongside the session’s other presenters.
The facility is funded by the Austrian Government and implemented by the REEEP in cooperation with SNV, as well as with NMB Bank Nepal, and employs innovative financing mechanisms for local renewable energy projects and provides capacity building activities for key stakeholders to upscale clean energy in Nepal and achieve environmental, social and gender co-benefits.
The 17th edition of ACEF will gather the Asia clean energy community to share and explore both proven and new ideas to accelerate the low-carbon energy transition in Asia and the Pacific. The discussions and agreements reached at ACEF 2022 aim to promote a low-carbon transition in the region while supporting universal access to reliable and affordable energy services.
