Through its Energy for All Initiative, ADB will be holding its annual investor forum. This year's theme is “Institutionalizing Energy Access Investment.”
This Investor Forum will feature three sessions:
Session 1: Facilitating energy access through the private sector
This session begins with a case study about an energy access enterprise’s journey in securing initial investment from impactinvestors, and eventually from ADB. The insights Energy for All gained in facilitating this process were applied in Energy for All’s Project Development Facility, a platform which outlines a systematic process for energy access enterprises to help them become investment ready, and eventually secure financing from impact investors and institutions like ADB.
Session 2: Building relationships with investors
Session 2 seeks to introduce the different types of funds that are looking at the energy access space, and their criteria in selecting investment opportunities. One of the objectives of the session is to gain these investors’ insight about Energy for All’s Project Development Facility, and how this can be improved further.
Session 3: Investment opportunities on Energy Access
This session will showcase potential investment opportunities for both Impact Investors and development institutions like ADB.
Invited are:
- proponents of an energy access enterprises
- financiers interested in triple bottom line returns
- technology providers and integrators of clean energy technologies that improve energy access
