Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, yet the global response remains divided. Climate Tagger is a new suite of software tools to help strengthen and unite organizations and individuals using knowledge to fight climate change, improve resiliency and further green growth across the world.
The fields of climate and development have undergone radical transformations over the past decades as the world has woken up to the perils of climate change. At the same time, information and communication technologies (ICTs) have revolutionised the way we communicate, bringing many benefits – but also new problems. A field once challenged by the lack of reliable and relevant data is now overwhelmed with oceans of information, pouring in from a multitude of sources inhabiting various corners of the climate development community. Today, the challenge is navigating and making sense of this information, overcoming the "portal proliferation syndrome" of climate web sites.
In August 2014 the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation released an evaluation of REEEP and REEEP activities. The evaluation was carried out on behalf of the governments of Norway and Switzerland, two of REEEP's main donors.
Enhancing its commitment to finding sustainable solutions for the urban transport problems of the future, REEEP has become the newest member of SloCaT, a multi-stakeholder partnership of over 80 organizations (representing UN organizations, multilateral and bilateral development organizations, NGOs and foundations, academia and the business sector) that promotes the integration on sustainable transport in global policies on sustainable development and climate change.

An innovative global partnership of knowledge brokers has taken on the challenge of signposting and improving access to knowledge resources for end users.
REEEP has signed a contract with the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to expand the www.reegle.info thesaurus to include important aspects of climate adaptation in greater depth. This step will make it easier for knowledge brokers to take full advantage of the reegle Tagging API, a free tool that automatically tags electronic documents to make them more searchable – and findable.
On December 4th, the Clean Energy Solutions Center, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership, and ClimateWorks Foundation convened a joint side event at COP-18 in Doha on clean energy policy best practices and resources. The three organizations are partnering to advance use of effective clean energy policies and practices.
