REEEP, REN21 and Austrian Energy Agency host stakeholder event in Vienna

Peter Traupmann, Managing Director of the Austrian Energy Agency (AEA) kicked off a two-and half hour event on Renewable Energy Policy and Market Development Worldwide, held at the Vienna International Centre on 22 March.  Co-hosted together with REN21 and REEEP, the event highlighted a cross-section of issues relating to the wide-scale deployment of renewables.

In a panel discussion at World Future Energy Summit on "How Technology and Innovation Will Shape the Future," REEEP’s Director General Martin Hiller made the case that opening up and linking data can be the key to unleashing the clean energy transformation. His speech is reprised below.

GIZ funding to expand scope of thesaurus

REEEP has signed a contract with the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to expand the thesaurus to include important aspects of climate adaptation in greater depth. This step will make it easier for knowledge brokers to take full advantage of the reegle Tagging API, a free tool that automatically tags electronic documents to make them more searchable – and findable.
